Young and Privileged

It would appear from this graph that there is a privileged few retirees between the ages of 46 and 60 (in 2017) collecting (in June of 2017) more money on average per person than others outside of that age range. The blue “mountain” is the number of persons collecting benefits as retirees (not survivors). The green vertical bars represent the average retirement benefit paid in June 2017. DataDrivenMan will be looking deeper into the underlying data set as this article is developed. Check back for updates.
